To visitors the beauty of Copenhagen is the harmonious aspect of a city unaffected by the post-war sins most other European capitals are afflicted with - it has retained a very well-preserved city centre, with buildings of a fairly homogeneous scale. It exudes a beautiful mixture of historic and modern, of grand but not overwhelming, of being a capital city but on a human scale. Adding a number of densely packed high-rise buildings does not make Copenhagen more "international" or a "metropolis" - it is that already - but instead makes it look like a provincial attempt of wanting to emulate Dubai or Singapore. Postgrunden would destroy the unique and harmonious character of a vibrant and attractive city, banalizing it in a meaningless and misunderstood bid for so-called progress. It will do more damage than the English bombardment of 1807 managed to inflict on a "wonderful, wonderful" place!
