After reading the material from the traffic study, I think it is clear that Brohusgade is not suitable for City Buses. There is considerable traffic already on Brohusgade in the mornings, with parents dropping off kids to nursery, the school in the street and regular car and bicycle traffic. The road is narrow, when cars are parked on either side, and is definitely not appropriate for buses to be added to this mix. Allowing city buses along Brohusgade would only create a bottleneck at the end of Rantzausgade, much worse than the one that currently exists, and would create an even bigger problem on Rantzausgade. Neither proposal 1 or 2 will make the neighbourhood safer and are both very expensive. In light of the above, both proposals 1 and 2 should be rejected in my opinion. Neither solution solves the problem on Rantzausgade, and would only move the problem into neighbouring streets (equally unable to cope with City buses). The only real solution is proposal 4, which is inexpensive and eliminates dangerous traffic in the area. I would ask that the politicians do the right thing and redirect buses out onto Åboulevard, where they should be and which can cope with the size and volume of City bus traffic. Move the Skyttegade stop, and add a stop on Åboulevard. For me, the only viable solution is proposal 4. Thanks for your consideration.
