Høringssvar vedrørende Flæsketorvet – Betalingsparkering

The decision to make Kødbyen into a payment and resident parking area goes against the strategy and the initiatives to make Kødbyen into a cultural place in Vesterbro. You simply can not underestimate the value and the effort that the tenants and traders give and do, by forcing such decisions. We all feel responsible and are contributing the success that the area has been in regards to Kødbyens origin. Therefore, a payment and resident parking area is a huge step back for Kødbyens development and cause closing of many of the creative venues. One of the main reasons are: An open parking area is one of our essentials, as we in Kødbyen are providing something different than the other areas in Copenhagen. It helps to create life, and initiate our guests to visit one or more of the venues in Kødbyen and Vesterbro in general. Parking conditions as they exist at present attracts guests, life and hereby creating the special vesterbro-vibe. We ask you to reconsider your decision! We Think this is the way to destroy all the hard work that a lot of people have put into creating this very particular area in Copenhagen!
